Pinkies up! If you've ever wanted to host your own tea party, or enjoy an afternoon of High Tea, or just a cup or two with some friends, now's your chance. Here at the Atascadero Tea Trolley, we've been welcoming tea enthusiasts from across San Luis Obispo County into our downtown Atascadero tea house.

If you've never been to our cozy tea house on Entrada, we'd like to welcome you! The Tea Trolley was born in 1930 as the first standing building on Entrada Avenue, which had been the town’s main street depot during the town’s initial formation in 1913. She has contentedly watched her neighborhood transform over her 96 years. One of her first neighbors was the original post office, which stood just across the street (now Bramble Pie Company). Despite her short stature, she is still able to admire and peek over at her very handsome and longest friend and companion, the majestic golden-domed City Hall, built in 1914.

We offer a High Tea Experience on weekends, which includes a pre-fixed seasonal menu. Reservations open four weeks prior to each service - and usually get booked up really fast.
During the weekdays, we transform ever so slightly for an enchanting mini version of high tea - Queen's Tea. This experience includes dainty sandwiches, a warm scone, and a delightful dessert, along with your choice of tea.
You're always welcome to come by just for a casual pot of tea (your choice from Pixie's cabinet). We may also have some bites available for purchase, depending on the day.

There's nothing we love more than celebrating your special moments at our little tea house. The Tea Trolley offers private rentals for:

Birthday Parties (For grown-ups and little ones! Teddy Bear Tea Parties for kids tend to be a big hit.)

Book Clubs Or Other Gatherings

When you rent the tea house, you can choose between a few enchanting spaces, each with its own personality.

The Tea Room: Intimate, vintage-filled space, made for whimsy and conversation over fine china.
The Back Patio & Garden: A bright and vibrant space, shaded by a large tree with elements of Alice in Wonderland.

You have the option of a full High Tea experience when you rent out our tea house, ordering just a few options and bringing in other food and drinks, or you can simply opt to rent the space and bring your own vision to life. Either way, our team collaborates with you to make sure your celebration or gathering feels special.

Celebrating One Year At The Atascadero Tea House

We've been open now for almost a year! Can you believe it?! After serving hundreds of tea parties and filling thousands of teacups, we're celebrating our one-year anniversary

in September. What started as a small dream tucked inside this charming little building on Entrada has become a real gathering place for community. From elegant and formal High Tea dates to Teddy Bear Tea Parties, we love making every moment a little more whimsical.

We want to invite YOU to come celebrate one year of tea and tea parties with us! Join us for the Sip & Shop on Friday, September 25th from 5:30 - 8:00 PM, and we'll be pouring extra bubbly and serving up some delightful sweet treats.
