Two fresh faces are now in downtown Atascadero, and you're going to love them! One for your stomach, one for your home. Curious? Let's check them out!

Momotaro Ramen & Izakaya - Sip, Slurp, Repeat
When you step into Momotaro Ramen & Izakaya, you're transported into an izakaya tucked into the back alley of Tokyo. Warm, lively, with a dash of the unexpected. This new restaurant in downtown Atascadero, is bringing traditional Japanese ramen to San Luis Obispo County. With house-made broths and carefully crafted bowls and small Japanese plates paired with beer and sake, it's no wonder their opening day had a line going out the door!

Inspired by the beloved Japanese folktale Momotaro, a story passed down by their co-founder’s grandmother Yuriko. Their restaurant remains rooted in tradition, storytelling
and the spirit of bringing people together. That foundation continues to guide them as they evolve.
At its heart, Momotaro Ramen & Izakaya is more than a restaurant; it's a place to gather. Friends can share a late-night bite or drinks and enjoy everything our amazing town has to offer.
What to expect at Momotaro Ramen & Izakaya
House-made broths, built from bones up, real from-scratch ramen.
Izakaya-style small plates, expanding beyond ramen into Japanese small bites.
An expanded beer and sake program, complete with Chuhai cocktails (shochu highballs).
A space designed to feel like a back-alley izakaya in Tokyo. The second you walk in, downtown Atascadero fades away.
