This downtown Atascadero restaurant was founded by Chris and Ayako, who developed a deep passion for Hawaiian comfort food. When they moved to the Central Coast to open a winery in 2016, they missed the healthy, flavorful dishes that had become part of their daily lives in Hawaii. Determined to share that special aloha spirit, they opened Kula Hawaiian Kitchen in downtown Atascadero to bring those flavors—and the true spirit of aloha—to California’s Central Coast.
